I have anxiously awaited the February issue of Domino for months! Back in October, contributing editor Rita Konig announced she was making a trip to Houston and asked for tips on Space City’s must-see spots. I immediately contacted her raving about my favorite hidden gem, Installations.Installations Antiques is owned by the gifted duo, Becki and Jur van der Oord. I am constantly amazed by their talent in both sourcing and merchandising, and it’s hard to believe this furniture and oddities shop is located in Texas instead of some exotic European town. Whether it’s the way Becki has pinned a price tag on an item or the obscurities placed casually inside an antique canning jar, your eyes will find something to lust after!
The next time you find yourself in Houston, be sure to visit a few of the inspirational shops in Rita's Destination article. I promise you'll be pleasantly surprised and leave boasting it’s worth it!
