I took a few days off from Bloggerville to head to Louisiana and spend time with my parents. There's nothing like going home and nothing in the whole world like eating a home-cooked meal made by Mom and Dad.

This weekend was filled with wonderful food, hearty laughs, warm weather, Sunday shopping, and a perfect wedding for a perfect couple. Monday came too quickly this time around.

Whadya eat? Whadya eat?!! I am sooo homesick for Mom & Dad's meals! I almost called this weekend to ask, but when I did that on Easter it made my mouth AND my eyes water to know what I was missing out on! This weekend cannot come fast enough...MY TURN!
Well one night we picked up Sushi Yama and all shared rolls at home, which was followed by Banana Cream pie. Odd, but somehow it worked. Really well!
Then on Sunday we had a yummy breakfast of omelets made with 3 different kinds of fancy cheese (E, Chance would have been in hog's heaven!), fresh pineapple, and really peppery crispy bacon.
Sunday afternoon, Dad grilled up that lovely fish you see in the top pic and Mom made some great sides: grilled asparagus, some sort of really good corn and tomato something-or-another, Caprese salad using home grown basil, and soft French bread.
Is that my little Hoagster in the photos? Such a handsome little guy!
