Never have I wanted a name like Myrtle, Marsha, Joan or Jeannie so much in my life. Who would have thought Courtney would be so progressive for a 1950s bike plate?
{i wanna go joni!} re: the plates. i see that "butch" and "rusty" made the cut. i think you should have bought "Phyllis"... what's even better is that they are Florida plates... you have a friend in florida. wish we were still at round top... xoxo e
Try being named Paloma! I could never find anything with my name on it as a kid. I even considered getting stuff that said Pamela since it was close, but my mom wouldn't let me! LOL! :)
JJ, we already HAVE a Stevie; funny they have that.(Would he die if I acted like I expected him to put that on his bike??) And Doe, you had a MUCH better chance w/ Courtney than I ever did with L-E-I-G-H...unless I wanted to be a boy. L-E-E came in spades! Hey, I'll be "Sandy" if you get "Rusty",lol.
Hello. This post is likeable, and your blog is very interesting, congratulations :-). I will add in my blogroll =). If possible gives a last there on my blog, it is about the Pen Drive, I hope you enjoy. The address is http://pen-drive-brasil.blogspot.com. A hug.
Looks like I'm not the only one missing my name on the board! And, yes, Leigh...you had it worse than me. I was able to find Courtney on a white plastic bike plate when I was 10 or so....but not on anything decent.
Perhaps I should remember this when naming my first born. I'm feeling a "Vickie" or "Cindy" ??
I was destined to be a part of the creative world—between my early obsession with Fashion Plates and declaration at a young age that Jem was more hip than Barbie, it was just a matter of time until my fondness for design became a career. A Louisiana native, I moved to New York and led the wholesale divisions for Hollywould and Jill Stuart, as well as designed with couturier Ralph Rucci. With my husband and our furry daughter, Burkly Deluxe, we embarked on a few years of overseas adventures in Malaysia. We are now back Stateside “Inside the Loop” in Houston, Texas.

Paige was actually a doozie to find on anything back in the day! I think for kicks I would choose Gene. :)

I was able to find "Chris" by my surprise. Guess I just hit it at the right time. Would have loved a "Bubba"...
Peace,
Chris

Seriously, my name never adorned keychains, pencils or tiny bike plates. All the painful memories are coming back.... :)

Well I guess my name wasn't popular in the 50's either. Cool plates. I noticed that there were more boy names than girls. Hmmm.
