Happy Friday!

Wishing everyone a sunny weekend!

If you're looking for extra reading material, be sure to check out Black*Eiffel's darling MTV Cribs inspired post. It's by far one of the most unique posts I've seen in a while. Another favorite, Ruby PR's tribute to the evolution of the NYC Subway. Enjoy!

That is me, E! I'm not sure what I was doing dressed as a large rat, but I can see my sister and brother waiting in the wings.

This photograph made me smile. It was probably a Friday and a show was being prepared. Michael has on his "Hammer" pants, and I see the Jimminy Juke Box was playing too. Leigh was choreographing yet another production for our entertainment. You seem quite happy to be dressed in your rat costume ~~ as happy as I am that it IS FRIDAY!!
Love you all.

OK, I think I can clear this one up (& I use the phrase loosely here):
Michael IS, in fact, in the "Hammer" pants b/c what with that being his "Signature Show-stopper" it was all the costume he needed. YOU, on the other hand, were (naturally) more interested in the costuming & would not perform until you felt fully accessorized! The "rat" is actually a mouse costume (made by Mom for Mardi Gras w/ the Chagnard's one year; yeah, Cheryl had one too!), the flowery headpiece is from Phantom (Corps de Ballet), the apron is one of Mee-Maws that you liked to pull from the kitchen & wear, and the arm bands are from any number of possiblities, as Mrs. Marianne was a true fan of the arm bands back in the day. BUT, my favorite "Courtney inspired" addition has GOT to be (Look Closely) the yellow baby-doll ruffled, poof-of-a-thing that you literally STUFFED into/under that apron that came from MY 1ST yr of dance!LOL!!! I remember I HATED that "ruffley" thing, but you managed to work it in to your ensemble! And what an ensemble THAT was! Thanks for sharing!
ps:if you really wanna showcase some costuming at its finest, find Betsy Ross & Uncle Sam!

histerical!
even tho' your sis claims its a "mouse" costume, I know you are partial to a cute little rat. ;)
I couldnt really figure out what all you had on - and I studied that photo closely. All I could make out was the apron, mouse head piece, and the tail.
so stinkin cute!
you had your fashion days long before you even knew it!
