A few months back, I spotted this little porker on Beach Bungalow8. He's a vintage leather footstool sold through the early Abercrombie & Fitch shops. Omersa is the original manufacturer and these animals are highly sought after, especially any marked with "Liberty" on their ears proving to be part of the exclusive collection sold at the London department store in the 60s and 70s.
When Jonathan Adler found the originals in England, he decided to carry a few members of the funny farm stateside, including the hippo, rhinoceros, elephant, terrier, and the ubiquitous pig. Pets with all the personality, but without the responsibility!

eeek! there is an antiques store just down the street from me that has the vintage rhino and i have been coveting it as a footstool (or how cute for a kid's room?). i love that JA picked them up and remade them - except that 1) he beat me to it and 2) they're still pretty pricey...

Coco+Kelley: OHHHHH! How much is the antique shop asking?? An arm and a leg [pun intended]?! These kiddos are pretty pricey, but they age so darn well. They truly are forever pieces. I'm dying to have one in our bedroom for a footstool by our chair. Love them!
