My latest thrift treasure - this old cot once belonged to the "Holloways" according to the marker tagging on its leg. I saw it shining on the sidewalk and hollered at J to pull a uey so we could nab it.
Once she's spruced up with a fabric revamp or a nice long top pillow, she'll be at home placed at the foot of my bed. Also makes for excellent outdoor seating at our summer soirées!

Sweet! I love that idea for the end of the bed! Would be perfect for a small guest room as a place to throw things as well as sit/lounge.
I have been obsessed with finding a vintage one of these lately! Well done, it would look awesome as a coffee table with metal trays on it too xx
i like the clothesline in the background. :) you know i'm just jealous.

Sucker for Marketing: I have such a bad habit of letting clothes pile up in our bedroom chair. So, without a doubt, it would HAVE to go in the guest bedroom if it served that purpose. J would move out if I brought in another place to stash my clothes/shoes/belts/purses/scarves/etc!
Emma: This was my original purpose for it, but my couch is as long as the cot, so it looks a bit odd. But these guys can serve a million purposes, so the possibilities are endless! Thanks for the tip.
Erika: I left that clothesline in just for you :)
what a fantastic find!! can't wait to see the end result after you work your magic.
cheers

what a great idea to put at the foot of the bed!
oh, and we don't have any horizontal surface in our bedroom besides the bed and 2 shelves which hold the lamps because my hubb would always find something (clothes, shoes, belts) to set down on it!
I LOVE it - I've been trying to find a cot myself...although I have no where to put one. I'd love to have one out on future cool porch. With funky fabric of course!
Oh cool! I love the idea of cot-as-coffee-table. I also love the idea of lounging on a big porch with my cot and a glass of lemonade...but apartment life doesn't afford much porch-lounging. I think the end of the bed is perfect!!
Tremendous find!
great find! love the idea of using it for extra seating at a party, all propped with pillows, I'd love to see that!
What a fun find...I can't wait to see the "after"!
Great play on words!
so jealous! great find :)
I have an old army cot that is similar. My last night on it (I use it when guests are visiting...they sleep in my bed - I take the cot) the aged canvassed ripped irrepairably.
If you find a way to make a new one... let me know we'll talk about what it would cost for you to make one for me (My machine can't handle heavy canvas and double stitching) Or if someone wants it --- it's yours for the price of shipping from Denver!
