A Louisiana native, I moved to New York and led the wholesale divisions for Hollywould and Jill Stuart, as well as designed with couturier Ralph Rucci. With my husband and our furry daughter, Burkly Deluxe, we embarked on a few years of overseas adventures in Malaysia. We are now back Stateside “Inside the Loop” in Houston, Texas.

who has rats?
that looks like a safe-haven for bugs and lizards, but rats prfer fig ivy and sandy cool spots (like under houses).

no need to stay up wondering i can tell you = if you stay in the Heights or anywhere in old Houston - there will be tons of rats rooting around. I read this decor story in a mag once about this woman who moved to the Garden District in NOLA and the first night there she saw rats flying from limb to limb. She bought a huge snake for the problem.
Erica - Houstonians have rats - that's who! and no - they like to live in our trees and ivy and evergreen wisteria. That's why I have no wisteria anymore.
Love the outdoor setting - the stripe deckchairs are gorgeous.
