If you've ever interned to kick-start your creative career, this post [from the always hilarious Stuff White People Like] is a must read. I had serious déjà vu from my first few months in New York City. And, yes, I too was generously offered $24,000 and "...I earned it."

hah. That is funny. I did my internship in Houston, where I lived with strangers, was paid NOTHING, and was being graded for college credit. Longest 200 hours of my life.
That is funny! Love that kind of sense of humor.....truth is funnier than fiction!
hahaha. yeah, i feel kinda weird that I'm in my mid-20s and am just now interning...I never did it when I was going to college and living with my parents rent free. no, I waited until I'm finally living alone, paying all of my own bills in the most expensive city in the country. awesome!
but for the record, it's pretty freakin' awesome.
