Window Shopping

For as long as I can remember, I've coveted a Sub-Zero 611G refrigerator/freezer with a glass door. To see my produce and groceries ready for the pickin' would constantly inspire me to create delicious, fresh meals. And with the organic nature of food, I wouldn't feel pressured to have it "styled" on the shelves.

Just think of all the energy you'll save seeing what's behind that door without letting the cool air out! [Justification at it's best.]

You're a braver woman than I am, Court. I don't think I could keep my fridge organized enough for that without letting my neuroses get the best the best of me.

I love the first kitchen.

Having 2 would definitely be double the pleasure - like in the kitchen Erika of Urban Grace designed. Heaven. If I ever made it to see that kitchen in person, I'd probably chain myself to those fridges and never leave. The homeowners would love me.

I know, Paloma, it's really weird that I wouldn't care about people seeing the inside of my fridge. I would definitely make sure it was spotless clean [but I do that anyway in my non-window one] but I wouldn't care about all the goods being stacked Jeff Lewis-style!

LOVE it! Actually, it would be good incentive to buy healthy and wonderful foods--everyone would be looking!

No can do at the Dream House, Courtney. It's best that the contents our fridge stay hidden. Just yesterday I cleaned it out and was horrified anew at my housekeeping. Maybe it would shame me into doing better.

love the jeff lewis reference.
you know what - you really cannot see thru the glass doors - unless the lights are on inside the fridge... so i think 'keeping tidy is sort of a non-issue'...
just my $.02.

Love, love , love that fridge! One of my former employers had an industrial fridge much the same, it was great, except her kids were always saying they wanted food that they never actually ate (it took me a while to catch on)

I would love to have this too. When we were on vacation in San Diego I stalked a house on the boardwalk with a gorgeous, gorgeous kitchen complete with this fridge.
