The Dolly Switch was a style used from the end of the First World War until the Second and is suitable for one or two way applications. Bailey's brass dolly comes fluted [as shown] or plain and would make a knockout statement in any house!

And finally, this porcelain press switch would be a luxe addition to any house. Simple and unexpected.

wow, those are really nice. I'm tucking the idea away in my idea file!
what a fabulous idea! i love how simple touches like these are what contribute to a truly unique and beautiful home. xxx
I have always hated standard switches, outlets, smoke detectors, registers, etc. that clutter walls with their ugliness. These switches are fantastic...
Gorgeous and unexpected - love them!
i'm drooling. over something that it's probably not a good idea to drool around for fear of electrocution. needless to say, LOVE these.

I love the button!
These are so cool. Love that middle image. Like a gold bundt cake!
Those are so cool!
Love, love, love vintage looking hardware!
The first time I fell in love...
There is a beautiful peach and green stucco home in the Houston museum district (think Giverny). The "doorbell" is mounted in the lower-middle of the front door- it looks a lot like the brass dolly you pictured except is has a flat turn-key (almost like a music box). To ring the bell, you manually turn the key and it sends out the most joyful ringing noise all over their home. Growing up in the 80's I'd "borrow" my parents Cadillac Sedan Deville to go visit the boy that lived in that house... you think I cared if he was even home??!!!
Creative Tonic: Oh my goodness, this comment made me so so happy!!! How amazing of a doorbell...I wonder how you get something like that installed?! And I don't blame you, I would've been stalking that poor boy just to ring his doorbell. I have no self-control.
these are so cool, courtney!! xo
I so agree - these are wonderful - I want them too!
Courtney - I have had those toggle switches in my file forever. Total perfection - chic, don't stop the eye with the annoying back plate and you don't need a degree in engineering to figure out how to use them.
love these! thank you for these great ideas xoxo
Ooooh, love these! Great find!
