Maxed Out

I would have given an arm—and maybe a leg—to attend the grand opening of Atlantis, The Palm. The $1.5 billion dollar project is the first resort to open on Dubai's man-made Palm Jumeirah island. The festivities will go on for three days and the developers spent $20 million on the opening event; this city intrigues me to no end.

The rich and famous were out in full force, including Mary-Kate Olsen and Mischa Barton. I'm in love with both dresses, especially Mary-Kate's vintage Maxi length kaftan-inspired gown. Light and airy, these girls were dressed for a party along the Persian Gulf's coast.

Oh that's amazing. The CBS early show sent one of the reporters there last week. They were talking about the city and all the amazing buildings. They even showed one that had a level that rotated. Amazing. After viewing that I added Dubai to my dream vacation list.

I heard about it on the TODAY show is morning. The fireworks show was out of control! I can't imagine how they even set that up. I wonder what the next 2 days will bring.

This sounds insane, how fun would that be?? Loving Mischa's dress to pieces, but have to agree with Emily (above), The OC has been over for a long, long time now.
