- I was destined to be a part of the creative world—between my early obsession with Fashion Plates and declaration at a young age that Jem was more hip than Barbie, it was just a matter of time until my fondness for design became a career. A Louisiana native, I moved to New York and led the wholesale divisions for Hollywould and Jill Stuart, as well as designed with couturier Ralph Rucci. With my husband and our furry daughter, Burkly Deluxe, we embarked on a few years of overseas adventures in Malaysia. We are now back Stateside “Inside the Loop” in Houston, Texas.

I love old buildings and their structure! I would love to live in an old barn and schoolhouse. There is an old building I keep my eye on in town. It was the old cheese factory and now has been made into a couple of apartments. It needs work and I dream of getting my hands on it. In the meantime I would love to get my hand on the time card holder in the photos!!

How great to see! I live in Philadelphia and we have the most amazing old buildings, many of them inexplicably abandoned. It's such an underrated city with so many hidden treasures. Thanks for showcasing it a bit!
