Home Run

My heart skipped beats at this perfect Craftsman for sale in the Museum District. Pecan hardwoods, two fireplaces, a massive wrap around porch for roomy outdoor entertaining, sprinkler and mosquito systems, and a pool to ease the brutal Houston heat. And the kitchen. Oh, I could just live in the kitchen alone!

I'm now working on a way to make a quick $850,000. Any ideas welcome; only legal suggestions please.

Why would anyone want to move out of that joint?

Oh my god. The sick thing? My house in Marin County is not even 1/10th as nice as that, a ramshackle 2 bedroom. The period details involves a butt ugly 1970's sink that leaks. And it costs almost as much.

I'm moving to Houston.

That place looks as if it were designed for you.
I love that kitchen, the colors and the details.
Looks like it were meant for you to live in.
Home sweet home.

Beautiful. Ok here's how it's going to happen. We do a CO-OP house. People have CO-OP pets and I recently read an article where groups of friends are trying to do CO-OP parenting! When one person in the group has the child, but the whole group takes part in raising the baby. So get together some of your greatest friends from Houston and a far and have everyone chip in and buy the house jointly! :)

I'm so in!!!!

It is a gorgeous home! The previous owners did an incredible restoration. The kitchen and bathroom are so beautiful. How lovely is the tile work? The exterior paint color is right up my alley.

Susannah, you should move to Houston!!

I think Burks could make it big in TV and commercials! Or maybe a movie - it's time for the St. Bernard to make a big screen comeback!

Great house...it looks like the work of my friend Peggy Hull. I wonder if she was the designer...Creative Touch is the name of her business.

I love craftsman style homes. I will have to forward this page to my honey. I have been wanting to do something daring... why not move to Houston! BEcause.... how about you live in it half of the week and I'll take the other half? As for the extra day of the week, we can just veg by the pool!!

I can't think of anything legal either, but I will say for that house....it just might be worth considering the illegal. Ha!

I'm new to this whole mosquito system idea - my cousin who lives down there has one. I think it's hilarious and excessive, but really, you couldn't spend any time outside if you didn't have one.

Tonia Conger said...

This house is stunning!!!

elle kay said...

dear GOD I am not the only one with a closeted addiction to HAR.com!

That house makes me drool, although my fantasies seem to focus mainly around the Bunker Hill area... the 1920s style tile is really the best part.

Anyhow, love your blog, found it randomly, keep posting!
