My heart skipped beats at this perfect Craftsman for sale in the Museum District. Pecan hardwoods, two fireplaces, a massive wrap around porch for roomy outdoor entertaining, sprinkler and mosquito systems, and a pool to ease the brutal Houston heat. And the kitchen. Oh, I could just live in the kitchen alone!
I'm now working on a way to make a quick $850,000. Any ideas welcome; only legal suggestions please.
Oh my god. The sick thing? My house in Marin County is not even 1/10th as nice as that, a ramshackle 2 bedroom. The period details involves a butt ugly 1970's sink that leaks. And it costs almost as much.
That place looks as if it were designed for you. I love that kitchen, the colors and the details. Looks like it were meant for you to live in. Home sweet home.
Beautiful. Ok here's how it's going to happen. We do a CO-OP house. People have CO-OP pets and I recently read an article where groups of friends are trying to do CO-OP parenting! When one person in the group has the child, but the whole group takes part in raising the baby. So get together some of your greatest friends from Houston and a far and have everyone chip in and buy the house jointly! :)
Oh I love! The kitchen and the wrap around would be enough for me. $870...ummm the big guys is gettin' a lot of requests this year, but there is always Santa.
It is a gorgeous home! The previous owners did an incredible restoration. The kitchen and bathroom are so beautiful. How lovely is the tile work? The exterior paint color is right up my alley.
Hi. I'm new to your blog. Actually my google reader thought I would like your blog and send me right over!! I'm DYING for this kitchen... Maybe we could put our $ together and buy this house... I'm in-love. I'm looking forward to following your blog. Nice to meet you, NINA Please also come by and visit me at NINA KNOWS BEST
I love craftsman style homes. I will have to forward this page to my honey. I have been wanting to do something daring... why not move to Houston! BEcause.... how about you live in it half of the week and I'll take the other half? As for the extra day of the week, we can just veg by the pool!!
Wow... that kitchen! The bathroom! And the porch and pool. Simply gorgeous -sigh- OK, just adding this to the houses E & I are drooling over here that are way out of our price range.
so i was thinking about this house and decided to look again and realized that i am such a dork (referring to my above comment). blog lives got blurred and i now realize houston is a place i have never lived, but have driven through, ha!
I shudder to think what that house would cost in San Francisco. It's just breathtaking! And the Museum District is my faaaaavorite. You're making me nostalgic for Houston. :)
I'm new to this whole mosquito system idea - my cousin who lives down there has one. I think it's hilarious and excessive, but really, you couldn't spend any time outside if you didn't have one.
I was destined to be a part of the creative world—between my early obsession with Fashion Plates and declaration at a young age that Jem was more hip than Barbie, it was just a matter of time until my fondness for design became a career. A Louisiana native, I moved to New York and led the wholesale divisions for Hollywould and Jill Stuart, as well as designed with couturier Ralph Rucci. With my husband and our furry daughter, Burkly Deluxe, we embarked on a few years of overseas adventures in Malaysia. We are now back Stateside “Inside the Loop” in Houston, Texas.

I think Burks could make it big in TV and commercials! Or maybe a movie - it's time for the St. Bernard to make a big screen comeback!
Great house...it looks like the work of my friend Peggy Hull. I wonder if she was the designer...Creative Touch is the name of her business.

You stumped me with legal. Sigh. Lottery and Prayer?
so i was thinking about this house and decided to look again and realized that i am such a dork (referring to my above comment). blog lives got blurred and i now realize houston is a place i have never lived, but have driven through, ha!
gorgeous. maybe you could tell the sellers you would write such nice things about them if they would just cut you a great deal.
wow! that is beyond gorgeous! my husband and i are moving to houston after the first of the year and its such a shame thats out of our price range! :)
I can't think of anything legal either, but I will say for that house....it just might be worth considering the illegal. Ha!
Love this! And I especially love how the wood details are white and not brown. Great find ;)
Goodness! How sad to move away from such a wonderous abode!
Sell an overary :)
so great. i love the tiling in the kitchen and bath. wow.
Keep a watch! With the real estate market in Houston right now... you may be able to wait them out... I am not kidding!!! Good luck!
Wow! I would love a house like that!
PS- If it makes you feel any better... it is not in a great school district!!!!!
That kitchen and bath!

Gorgeous house!! I love craftsmen type houses!
Do you think they will entertain a "rent to own" offer??
From what I have seen on your blog, your home is just as lovely! Stay put. Smaller is the new bigger. Your life looks beautiful! Fa la la la la.
oh my goodness!
this is so perfect it make me sick....sick that i cannot buy it!

This house is stunning!!!
dear GOD I am not the only one with a closeted addiction to HAR.com!
That house makes me drool, although my fantasies seem to focus mainly around the Bunker Hill area... the 1920s style tile is really the best part.
Anyhow, love your blog, found it randomly, keep posting!
Great house! The owner is a friend of a friend and I've been there a few times...
