I love old photos! At our family reunion last year, my sister and I took home a handful of old photos to scan for keepsakes. I plan on enlarging and reprinting them one day.
What a fabulous affair!! Wonder what the cost was in those days to throw a big wedding? I am certain it was a fraction of the cost today! I love the bridesmaids dresses....do you know the color of them? I guess this was WBC wasn't it......way before courtney! Thanks for sharing...I loved it!
I was destined to be a part of the creative world—between my early obsession with Fashion Plates and declaration at a young age that Jem was more hip than Barbie, it was just a matter of time until my fondness for design became a career. A Louisiana native, I moved to New York and led the wholesale divisions for Hollywould and Jill Stuart, as well as designed with couturier Ralph Rucci. With my husband and our furry daughter, Burkly Deluxe, we embarked on a few years of overseas adventures in Malaysia. We are now back Stateside “Inside the Loop” in Houston, Texas.

Those are great pictures. I love the ribbons as well...they were so long!! If everybody pulled at once, that cake might have flipped over! :)
A swell party indeed - I love that all the ladies are wearing gloves!
Courtney- this looked like a great time! I love the faces of the little ones!
Thank you for sharing. Old photos are my favorites for inspiration. I love all the corsages and poofy dresses.

Looks like one "swellegant" affair! Wouldn't it be nice to have that glamour back again?

pret-a-party: I had them in my iPhoto library and just re-discovered them today. I have a few others...perhaps I should have posted all of them!
