Everything but the Kitchen Sink

When moving meets mayhem, you have a garage sale—and because misery loves company, I've convinced my entire family [even those in Louisiana] to fill their trunks trailers and head on over. We're putting on one heck of a sale starting bright and early Saturday morning and I'm beginning to question my sanity levels!

E: I would beg you, but I don't really have to when I know you're coming out the following weekend!!!! Words can't describe how anxious I am for you and LDC to get to Houston and come party with us. YEEHAW!

Oh my gosh, how exciting! The ad is hilarious! I'm totally coming by! Tim could have a job by this afternoon...therefore we could potentially have dollars to spend for the first time since last August! Whoohoo!

Prepare for drive bys all day today and tomorrow and cars parked outside at 5 am on Saturday with their lights on. Some might even be so nice as to help you bring your stuff outside. I love a good yard sale..it always brings the neighborhood together! Good Luck! Leigh in South Carolina (where yard sales are A VERY SERIOUS business...ha!)

Courtney -- I am so sad to be so far away, however, I have forwarded this onto to my section of the Houstonian population.

Good luck, and have a blast!

(watch out for a gaggle of ladies who go by the name "The Flamingos"!)

yep, wishing I hadn't read your blog today. I live in the Galleria area and am a sucker for regular, crap-filled garage sales.

Based on all the wonderful design-y things in your blog, and the 6 hours or so I've had at work to contemplate it, your garage sale has reached mythical proportions in my mind.

So help me God if I take cash out of the ATM today, you might see me there.

I'll be coming all the way from Galveston! Your ad is so cute! Please say you'll keep the blog going after you move!?

Oh I wish I lived nearby! One thing I know I would buy would be your Dr. Nut crate. Well... that is if you were selling it. LOL...

I'm sending postive energy your way- warm weather, and lost of people with deep pockets. xoxo

OMGoodness! I never realized just HOW close to each other we lived - we were at 935 W Melwood (corner of Michaux.) Shoot! Coulda' had some fun times, I'm sure.

Best of luck to you in your move and living abroad

I second Carolina Eclectic - both in having to stop by and being on the look out for lamps! I just took a look at the pictures of your house on Bungalow 8 - you have such great taste! I'm looking forward to it and wish you a successful day!

I'm sad for you to have to get rid of your things, but I think I'll make the trip over to shop & visit! I hope we can all be civilized and not fight over your things.

Oh, how fun! Going to College Station tomorrow but hopefully I can wake up early enough to stop by your garage sale. It would be great to see you one last time before your big move!
