Go West

My undying infatuation with West Texas is certainly no secret [see proof herehere, here, here and here]. One day we'll own a second home in the country—with Marfa high on the list—and I'd happily settle into any of these found on Livingston Real Estate.

Located on almost ½ acre, this two story mostly-adobe house is one of the older homes in Marfa. It looks like the perfect spot to retreat and relax.

My other favorite has been reworked and modernized by Houston designer Barbara Hill. This 1400 square foot home was featured in the New York Times and sits across from Marfa's courthouse. I adore the charming 500 square feet guest casita with bath.

And to satisfy my renovation fix, I'd jump at the chance to restore life into either of these homes. They both have incredible bones that would make for amazing spaces!

Oh, how I looove West Texas and New Mexico, where I was lucky enough to live long ago. I still miss it every day.

I find that area of the country to be completely romantic. :-)

These are gorgeous, and I would LOVE to see your stamp on one - I'm sure it would be spectacular.

I can't wait to visit Marfa ... so high on my dream list of places to go ...

Court-
I'll probably be your neighbor. We could have a communal fire pit for those cool West Texas nights. Think of the shit we could stir up in that town!

Chris: I wonder if anyone's ever been kicked out of Marfa? Could be a first for us both! Nah, we'd have the time of our lives and happily to do neighborly things like lend you an egg or cup of flour from time to time :)

Love them all! I just was in Marfa last week! It was my third time and it keeps getting better and better! You should go if you have the time before you leave the states!

Oh, this is one of my favorite pastimes, too. Many's the time my husband has snuck up behind me and said, "Are you surfing for Marfa real estate again?"

You picked some of my favorites, too.

Someday.....
