Despite the fact it appears J is about to slug
Erika's husband [I assure you that's not the case! Although, I'm unsure of what was going on as I stood there smiling...], we had one heck of a time at our
Going Away Party this weekend. I'll post photos when I have more time—perhaps a great task for that extra long plane ride tomorrow!

Yesterday I bid farewell to my fabulous folks. I could barely look Mom and Dad in their tearful eyes knowing it would be quite a while before we meet again. Without a doubt, it was the hardest and suckiest part of this entire move. Goodbyes are for the birds.

I'm wishing you all the best on this next journey in life!
Agree- that dress is fantastic and I'm so glad all your people were able to come in for a proper send-off!
It's always hard saying good-bye to Mom and Dad...time will fly and you'll see them again before you know it!
Great dress, Courtney! So glad you were able to have a big farewell party. Wishing you all the best in your new adventure!
Oh so sad. Saying goodbye really is horrible. I can't wait to see more pictures from the going away bash. I have to agree with everyone else your dress looks amazing as do you!
aw, so sad to say goodbye to the parents :(
and yes, the dress is GORG.
I know how you feel. But when it comes to your parents, there's no such thing as goodbye :-)
Being away from family and friends is the hardest. Look into getting skype when you get there it is free and your family can do the same great way to keep in touch. Web cams are really cheap and fun way to see each other and talk. Good Luck!
I HATE saying goodbyes. Also hate the tears from Mom and Dad when I do. I feel for you sistah! Praying for a safe flight for your little family of three!
have a safe trip! saying goodbye is hard but look what you are saying hello to!
goodbyes DO suck. royally. but the trip you're about to embark upon is going to make them worth it - at least for a little while. :)

Sending well wishes for your new life adventure. I'm sure you'll keep all of us entertained and brushed up on style while you're in Malaysia! Wow, can't believe you're really moving! 'm thinking of how I would feel if one of my sweet daughters were moving away so far.....how sweet that you had some special time before leaving. Oh my goodness, the heartbreak!
I wonder what you'll name your new blog. Or will it stay the same?
I would NEVER hit Chance...just needed to clear that up :) It was a wonderful party and I'm so glad that K&LA where able to do that for us! It means more than words!!
Courtney, I wish you and JJ the best. I wish we could have gotten together again, but hopefully we'll have another luncheon again soon:)
Hi Courtney,
I can't quite remember how I found your blog - maybe through Erika's? Anyway, I've been reading your blog for a while now and love it. Can't wait to see what fun you find in Malaysia!
Have a safe flight and take care!
Courtney - Thanks for sharing your life and style with us. You were one of the first super sweet bloggers that I "met" online, so thank you for all your warm comments and emails.
Best of luck in KL, I bet they can't wait for your stylish self.

It puts a lump in my throat to think of some of those goodbyes. I guess things that are really worth doing don't come without some difficulties. You'll have to attach a web cam to your computer. Sounds like it was a great party.
It's so sad to see you go yet so exciting to hear of your new adventures. You look fabulous!
Again - the tears!! You really must stop all of this! LOL
You looked beautiful and I can't wait to here from you on the other side of the world! Houston will miss you!
It's horrible saying goodbye....I'm so sorry you couldn't pack them up with you....
Your going away party looks and sounds like it was incredible, as is that dress-- simply gorgeous! Goodbyes are so so hard and painful; I must admit I cry whenever I say goodbye to my parents and they are only 10 hours away. But then times always flies and, hopefully, before you know it, you will find yourself with them again.
The party sounds like such a fun time!!! and that dress!! oh that DRESS! LOVE it!! things like this are always bittersweet for everyone involved, but what an adventure!!
Goodbyes are the worst. I always prefer until we meet again.
Stunning dress! Wowza.
Goodbyes are for the birds BUT that dress is out-of-this-world fabulous! Love it. Have a safe move. You are in my thoughts. Nina

your dress is beautiful. i'm so excited for your new adventure!
Not like it hasn't been said already, but your dress is to die for. Can't believe you're really gone!
Oh My! Saying goodbye to Mom & Dad had to be a tear jerker for all of you! That's such a great picture of the three of you. You've got your mamas beautiful smile! I'm sure they are so proud of you.
It's crazy how just by reading your blog, I feel as though your a great pal! I am just so thrilled for the journey you're starting [even a bit envious]. I think you are one of few people that will REALLY make the most of this experience & soak up all KL has to offer. And how lucky are we to be able to share in your adventure!
Hope you arrive safe and sound & please keep us up to date on sweet Burks journey!
Knock 'em dead!
