Ex-Domino style editor Kim Ficaro is now prop styling for various editorial publications, books and catalogs. Flipping through her portfolio was a trip down Domino memory lane.
Kim's work is so amazing, everything she touches is magic! Her portfolio is so beautiful and shows how totally creative and unique she is. Also she is so kind and wonderful to work with -- I say this first hand as she helped style my book!
The only thing worse than hearing Domino went out of print was hearing they were "replacing" my subscription with Glamour. What a loss! Great pics from a great mag. :) xx
Love these images; they are perfectly layered-- full, but not fussy; simple yet complex. Not to mention the bread in the first photo looks especially delicious to me right now!
I was destined to be a part of the creative world—between my early obsession with Fashion Plates and declaration at a young age that Jem was more hip than Barbie, it was just a matter of time until my fondness for design became a career. A Louisiana native, I moved to New York and led the wholesale divisions for Hollywould and Jill Stuart, as well as designed with couturier Ralph Rucci. With my husband and our furry daughter, Burkly Deluxe, we embarked on a few years of overseas adventures in Malaysia. We are now back Stateside “Inside the Loop” in Houston, Texas.

I still feel like crying when I hear the word "Domino."
Oh I love the top image! I've been flipping through my old Domino mags lately, still missing it.

This is so funny because I've often wondered what all those talented Domino people would do next. Love these photos!
