Peel Ya Own Shrimp

Though I just posted on Southeast Asia's flight of fancy, I assure you South Louisiana is a mecca in its own right. It, too, will provide plenty to write home about—that is if you can understand the accent. I've expressed my enthusiasm for shrimp a few times, so it's no surprise this video warmed my shellfish-lovin' soul. It also made me a bit homesick for my Mom 'n 'em. God Bless the South and people like Timmy!

Southern Living has some of the best culinary videos. My only beef is you can't embed them, only link or rig like above. C'est la vie.

I love this guy. I could listen to him talk about wild shrimp forever. p.s. I'm allergic to shellfish...

I can't understand the accent! But that man has just about the best last name I've ever seen.

This makes me bummed that we missed our delivery of shrimp this weekend! The shrimp man (husband of my husband's co-worker - got that?) went shrimping this weekend, but some storm messed things up, so he didn't catch as much as he planned. We were out. Hopefully when he goes back in a few weeks we'll be at the top of the list :) There's nothing like fresh Louisiana shrimp!!
