Mouth-Watering

I have a love-hate relationship with prototypical Chinese/Asian furnishings. While I adore wedding chests and Ancestral paintings, I despise trite red lacquered anythings. This photo from Hotel Pulitzer [via La Dolce Vita] has me eating my words altogether. I'm now in hot pursuit of partnering fiery monstrosities to convert into my own mouth-watering bar.

Courtney - that is just something really fabulous there. Love the boxes stacked on top.

Thanks for the shout out, Courtney! I am glad you liked that bar. It is pretty fab! It was designed by Lazaro Rosa Violan. I posted a bunch of his other projects today and I think you would love several of them. :)

This is truly stunning. I feel the same way about Asian designs but this is just perfect.

Hey! This is a really good way to incorporate that Asian look without letting it look like Asia threw up in your house. Which ours is dangerously close to becoming...

Aw! It’s so pretty! I love the combination of the classic Asian furniture with the modern interior design. This is so totally cool!
