Photo Op

The Islamic Arts Museum—my favorite building in all of KL—is featuring Steve McCurry's latest photography exhibition, A Common Faith: Travels Through the Muslim World. In addition to being up close and personal with his famous Afghan Girl, McCurry's documentation of India sent me over the moon.

...as if I needed more reasons to fall in love with the country.


In less than one month I'll live out all Bollywood fantasies as I roam the crowded, dusty streets of Delhi, Agra, Jaipur, Jodhpur, Jaisalmer and Udaipur. I feel like the luckiest girl in the world, and I have no doubt this will be my immediate expression upon landing:

Oh Courtney, I'm so STOKED about your adventures that lie ahead!!! So fun! You're going to love love love (and kinda be ready to leave after a month) India! It's magical! These images are fantastic!

All of these photos are beautiful but the second one is absolutely stunning. I can barely bring myself to look away! I'm so excited for you to travel to India and sto see all the things you encounter along the way. India is definitely on my list... Take me with you!

You will LOVE LOVE LOVE India! I went in July 2008 and feel like I left my heart there. It's such a country of contrasts - camels and cell phones. I can't wait to read about your adventures! Have an amazing time and don't forget your camera!!
