Pen Down

I picked up the sweetest notecards that draw inspiration from blue willow plates and Peranakan Chinese porcelain. Nala Designs' mini cards, envelopes and ang pow packets are printed with soy ink on recycled paper, and the graphic prints and colors have enlivened my stationery collection twofold. Future plans of wallpaper, boxes, dishes and bags have me anticipating designer Lisette Scheers' every kaleidoscopic move.

Available at Kuala Lumpur's Delicious Ingredients and CzipLee Bangsar, Eastern & Oriental Hotel Penang and Banyan Tree Singapore. Email Nala Designs for international interest.

Meg, if you can't get a hold of some let me know and I'll pick up a pack for Miss Mendi. We come home in July for a visit and I can't wait. I can almost taste the Texas Mexican food and Louisiana home cooking as I type this.... almost
