Pop Culture

John Nese has been dubbed the Willy Wonka of carbonation and it's a spot-on moniker. This jolly good fellow is the proprietor of Los Angeles based Galco’s Soda Pop Stop, an ultimate soda-lover’s destination stocking over 500 worldly pops. This video is well worth each and every second, and his animated response to the constant cane sugar vs. corn syrup debate is priceless! I do believe John has found a way to bottle happiness.

Courtney: You would have an absolute field day in this store! Your garage fridge always had the neatest, sweetest and most delightful selections -- all in glass bottles, no less. This was a great story. Talk about people who "do what they love" for a living. This man is living his childhood DREAM.

This is a must stop next time I am in LA. I want to get my hands on some of that cucumber soda...I feel a Pimm's Cup experiment coming on!

Galco's is great! For my dad's Christmas present I pulled together a 24 bottle sampler pack of root beer and Galco's had many obscure brews to include!
