I don't think its crazy at all - My boyfriend used to go interstate to Melbourne to get his hair cut all the time. He said no-one could get it quite as good as his hairdresser there. and he was right!

I'm literally checking flights for NY, husband and I were thinking of going on the fly anyway. Thanks so much for the tip.

BTW, I fly to Atlanta to get my brows done by a serious brow diva. She has worked on many celebs and is beyond amazing. Everyone I know thinks I am crazy. No, crazy is running around looking like Bert from Sesame Street.

You're not insane! (I've done that, too!) And my stylist's name is nothing close to as cool as Corvette!

When I lived in London, I had my hair cut in Boston. I'm sure there are wonderful stylists in London but I am somewhat risk-averse when it comes to haircuts...So, I strategically booked my flights home to coincide with my need for a trim. :)

Oh... one more thing! FIVE- you MUST check out Doughnut Plant. I just learned about it on a crazy-hilarious episode on the Food Network! They have something called (and they have it trademarked to boot!) a "Tres Leches" Doughnut- they actually inject it with all kinds of sweet milk! Bring some home... they don't mail order! Look up Lower East location on internet... read about this guy too.
